Being a hardworking young professional, I've worked in both corporate and public sector.
I was a caretaker at a privately-owned establishment. The Housemates Student accommodation . For over 19 months I was the primary caretaker of the property. My role and responsibilities included:
Routine Maintenance. Proficiently
performing regular upkeep tasks such as cleaning, maintaining gardens, and ensuring all facilities are in good working order. Inventory Management.Managing and tracking supplies and tools needed for maintenance tasks, ensuring that necessary materials are stocked and in good condition.
Good communication, good administrative and organizational skills, great hygiene practice, basic plumbing and electrical knowledge and problem-solving skills were key in me being able to perform my tasks efficiently and effectively.
I also had to opportunity of working as an Educator Assistant for the Department of Basic Education. For 18 months I was assisting the teacher delivering lessons and activities, providing additional support to students as needed.
Organizing and preparing teaching and learning equipment was also part of my responsibilities.
Record keeping and administration were part of the role. Computer literacy and good communication were a 'must'.
Having learnt a lot from those experiences, I always strive to learn more and improve myself so I can be a great asset to your organisation.
